Private Hospital and Rest Home
Kaikohe Maternity Hospital opened in 1956 and served the community until the birth rate decreased and the Hospital Board changed its focus to care of the elderly.
In the 1990's the Hospital Board began divesting of care of the elderly, and Kaikohe Hospital was sold in 1994 and became Kaikohe Care Centre.
The service now consists of rest home, hospital, and secure care. We are situated in parklike grounds on the edge of the town boundary with a rural outlook.
We provide friendly staff (no s!), various activities, diverse cultural backgrounds, 0.3 km walking distance to town.
